New Things To Try This Summer

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Queen's U chapter.

As we *almost* bid finals farewell, it’s finally time to get excited about the next four months! If you’re anything like me, you already started building your summer bucket list with your friends – in September. This isn’t exactly a list of specific things to try, so feel free to use this as inspiration to create your own tailored list!

1. Try cooking something new

From asking your grandma to teach you how to make her famous cookies to trying to follow along with a Tasty video with friends, cooking is an awesome activity that you can bond over with anyone. Try making your favourite dish at home!

2. Play tourist

Regardless of your geographic location this summer, you can always find a place you haven’t explored before. Whether it’s a new neighbourhood, restaurant, bar or hiking trail, summer is the perfect time to find your new spot!

3. Try a new workout

Switch up your regular routine and try something like aqua spinning, rock climbing or dance classes. While you’re at it, take advantage of the warm weather and get outside – there are so many possible activities that don’t even feel like a workout!

4. Conquer a fear

Even if it takes you all four months to build up the courage, go face one of your fears! It may seem like a horrible thing now, but it will be so worth it after.

Cheers to an awesome summer filled with family, friends and trying new things!
