Mulan

Hitting theatres this March, Disney’s Mulan brings action, adventure and women empowering energy. Liu Yifei plays Mulan, a young Chinese woman who takes her aging father’s place in the military in order to protect him. Because she lives in a patriarchal society that doesn’t allow women in the military, she must disguise herself as a man. What ensues is sure to be touching, inspiring, and enjoyable for both Disney and action lovers alike.

Downhill

Downhill follows a married couple’s relationship troubles after they barely survive an avalanche. It stars Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, and is definitely going to be hilarious. Check it out in theatres this February.

Antebellum

Moonlight and Us’s Janelle Monae stars in this horror thriller directed by Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz. It follows Veronica Henley, an author who must escape reoccurring and unexplained horrors. Catch it in theatres this April.

A Quiet Place Part II

This sequel to John Krasinski’s 2018 movie follows the Abbot family as they silently fight for their survival in the outside world. If it’s anything like the first Quiet Place, you can expect to be on the edge of your seat for the majority of the movie. See it in theatres this March.

Parasite

Parasite is a critically acclaimed thriller from South Korean direction Bong Joon-ho and is sure to leave you in awe. Described by Joon-ho as “a comedy without clowns and a tragedy without villains,” it highlights class discrimination and tension between a rich South Korean family and their new employees. Lucky for you, it’s already out!
