4 Fun Things To Do In Toronto This Winter Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Queen's U chapter.

1) Winter at Ontario Place

Move aside, Nathan Phillips Square – this winter, Toronto has a special event at the Waterfront, and the best part? It’s free! If you’re looking to hang out and do some cool winter-themed activities like skating, watching IMAX movies, and looking at pretty fairy lights and illuminated art exhibits, this is for you!

2) Toronto Christmas Market

Head to the Distillery District for some extra festivities this December. Sip on mulled wine, dip into some fondue, and snack on some very sweet treats. This is the eighth year that the Christmas Market has taken over the Distillery District, so get ready for some great Instagram pictures and a lot of Christmas magic to put you in the mood.

3) Eat tons of food from Prix Fixe menus for Winterlicious

Winterlicious is the ultimate yearly foodie event. Going for $18, $23, and $28, the Winterlicious list for this year is out, with over 220 restaurants to choose from!

4) Try the Butter Rum at Miss Thing’s

Located in Parkdale, Miss Thing’s has become a hotspot for cool cocktails. The Butter Rum is a brown butter-infused rum with spiced pear cider and chamomile syrup, mixed with Kola butter and toasted coconut sugar to create the perfect winter drink.
