Summer break is just around the corner. With three months of free time on our hands… what are Boiler collegiettes to do? The Her Campus Purdue team would just love to indulge in a summer vacation. But, where to go? If you have some spare time (and some spare income) this summer we have some great ideas for a getaway.
Scout: I am going to Palisades Park, Michigan this summer! I used to go every summer during my childhood with my entire family plus other close family friends. It has been about nine years since I’ve been, but I am finally returning with my huge family and I am WAY MORE THAN EXCITED! It’s a beautiful place and has given me the fondest memories.
Brittany: ‘San Antonio Texas, Riverwalk.’ This vacation spot is something unique verses your regular beach spot. San Antonio has so much history and has a stunning ‘Riverwalk’ they are known for. There are hotels, delicious restaurants, historical sites, and many vintage shops right along the riverwalk which provide for a great vacation!
Becca: I have always wanted to explore Greece in the summertime. The pictures look so beautiful, it’s like a different world from the U.S!
Katie: Bahamas on a cruise!
Leta: Ever since I was in high school and saw the “Laguna Beach” episode where the crew goes on spring break to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico it has been a dream destination of mine! I would love to go live it up on the hot beaches and enjoy the Mexican atmosphere & culture, all while relaxing and living it up on vacation.
