The Songs That I Have Not Stopped Playing This Month

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Purdue chapter.

My favorite way to relieve stress and pass time is to listen to music. I love using music to escape whatever going on in my life. I am constantly updating my Spotify playlists with new songs that I love now. Over the past month, I have found several hits that I just can’t get enough of. Seriously, I have these songs on a repeat! Check them out!

The Man by Taylor Swift

I have been soooo obsessed with this song. Whether you hate her or love her, you can’t deny that she knows the secret to creating a killer song. It has such a good message behind the lyrics that is uplifting and just makes you feel good to be a woman. I absolutely love this song and I am a sucker for any kind of feminist bop!

Nice to Meet Ya by Niall Horan

As a die-hard fan of One Direction, naturally I am a sucker for anything released by the boys. Niall’s brand-new song, “Nice to Meet Ya”, has a very catchy beat that is very different to what he has released before. He is taking a new direction (pun intended) with his solo sound, and it is working for him. His voice sounds so cool and smooth in this song, and the video is amazing as well!

Dance Monkey by Tones and I

I love putting this song on and just dancing around my dorm room. It is such an interesting song and is very different from what I normally listen to. I honestly can’t explain why I love it so much. The sound is unique and refreshing in a way. I really enjoy it!

Whatever USA by Hoodie Allen

Hoodie Allen has been highly present in my playlists since about eighth grade. I have listened to all his stuff, and his newest album is no exception. I love this song so much because it is unique in terms of the style and how he decided to execute it. He raps but still has a pop presence, so it is very pleasing and easy to listen to.
