Six Fall Fashion Trends You Need to be Wearing Right Now

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Purdue chapter.

It’s finally September! Summer is officially over and it’s time for pumpkin spice lattes and oversized sweaters. Personally, I love fall! After a hot and sweaty summer, there’s nothing better than a crisp fall day. Here in Indiana, the weather is bipolar, and each day is different than the last. It could be freezing and raining one day or sunny and breezy the next. During this season, it’s really important to layer up with a light jacket or a sweater. To help you, here are six fall fashion trends that will keep you warm but stylish!

Chunky cardigans

I love a good chunky cardigan and there so versatile. You can pair it with jeans and a tank or with a cute fall dress. Personally, I really like the oversized look with a shoulder out.

Printed Dresses

Dresses are a key staple in every wardrobe and they’re not just worn to parties. Printed dresses are huge right now because of their flexibility to be worn with everything. Pair them with Birkenstocks or converses for a casual look to wear to class.

Corduroy

Yes, corduroy is back in. Find a cute pair of corduroy pants or a skirt and dress it up. Wear an oversized sweater with a pair of vans or dress it up

with some suede boots.

Oversized Sweaters

This one’s a given. An oversized sweater is an essential piece to wear this fall. Pair it with jeans or a cute skirt and your day will be filled with warmth and happiness.

Suede Boots

Whatever the color, suede boots are perfect for fall.

Pair them with a printed dress for a party or with jeans to wear to class. Either way, there super cute and versatile.

Puffed sleeves

One of my favorite fashion trends right now is a puffed sleeve. And no, you won’t look like a medieval queen. Puffed shirts come in a variety of styles and shapes and adds dimension to your outfit. Also, it makes you look super chic!

In a couple of months, autumn will be over and winter jackets will be covering our outfits. Embrace this season and watch the leaves turn color in your gorgeous fall wardrobe!
