Lotsa Pizza, Lotsa great reviews!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Purdue chapter.

A new pizza place has arrived on campus earlier this month, and it has been receiving Lotsa customers. Lotsa Stone Fired Pizza has opened on State St. across from Vons. When entering Lotsa, you will be impressed by the clean, inviting atmosphere and delicious aromas. One thing I was surprised about was that for being such a new business they always seem to have a steady flow of customers.

Lotsa specializes in personal pizzas and salad. You can choose one of their classic favorites or build your own. A worker at Lotsa called it “the Subway of Pizza” because you are able to get whatever you want on your pizza. They have everything from artichokes to shrimp, and you are able to watch the worker create your pizza and add all the fresh toppings, all while interacting with you.

Then you get to watch as your pizza goes into the rotating stone oven that cooks your pizza perfectly. This step only takes about five minutes, which is just enough time to check out and get your drink. When your pizza comes out they add the finishing details like ranch, olive oil or basil.

I personally love their pizza because all the ingredients are so fresh and the pizza is not greasy like other places on campus. My favorite is the margherita, with red sauce, fresh mozzarella, chopped garlic, tomatoes, basil, and balsamic vinegar all on the ancient grain crust. Currently they only have dine-in and carry-out options but they are expecting to start delivering in the upcoming months. Lotsa has extremely reasonable hours: Sunday – Wednesday they are open 11 a.m.- 11 p.m.,  Thursday – Saturday they are open 11 a.m. – 3:30 a.m.

So if you are looking for a new place to take a date, a cheap place to get lunch, or even a Thursday post-bar snack, Lotsa might be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
