Fall Recipes You Should Try This Year Part 3

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Purdue chapter.

Like I have mentioned the last two weeks, I love cooking and baking in my spare time (check out @beccas_good_eats on Instagram). The flavors of fall are amazing. They are rich and deep and allow us cooks/bakers to indulge. Today, I am going to head away from the amazing baked goods of fall, and into the cooking side of things. Savory fall dishes can be easy, fun to make, and delicious. Let’s get into it!

Butternut Squash Ravioli

First up, butternut squash ravioli and a brown butter sage sauce. It is amazing. The filling is so tasty you could honestly just eat it by itself. This pasta dough is a little bit firmer than other recipes and that is, so the raviolis do not rip or break open. Also, you cannot skip the sauce it is amazing and adds the perfect touch to the raviolis.

Chili

Second, chili. Obviously, a fall staple. Even without all the gameday events that normally occur, we can still enjoy this fall dish, especially as it starts to get chilly out there. This is perfect for Sunday night dinner or to make a huge batch and freeze to enjoy as the fall goes on.

Chicken Pot Pie

Third, another classic, chicken pot pie. This is another fall staple that everyone has to have at least once this season. Also, there are so many variations of this like turkey or just veggie! This is another one that is great for those chilly nights. You can make a big pie or just individual pies!

Soup

Fourth, there are so many amazing soups that scream fall. I am going to highlight pumpkin soup, but the options are literally endless. Here is a pretty basic pumpkin soup recipe that will warm you up all the way down to your toes! And will make you feel like you are eating fall.

Maple Rosemary Pork

Last, but of course not least, this maple rosemary pork. DELICIOUS. The rosemary maple flavors really bring in the flavor of fall. Pork is also really great because as a meat it tends to really carry the flavors that you cook with it.
