At the Venice film festival , with Olivia Wilde’s highly anticipated film “Don’t worry Darling”, only one moment mattered – Harry Styles’ entrance to the showing of his film. If you haven’t seen the viral clip that was featured all over Instagram Reels and TikTok, I highly recommend watching it to form your own opinion on the infamous spit-gate.

What went down in the Mediterranean? Even before the Venice film festival, this film has been embroiled in controversy with Olivia Wilde’s relationship with Harry Styles and Florence Pugh’s lack of promotion. Even Styles’ acting skills have been called into question along with other  fast-spreading gossip.

There are so many theories behind this viral moment. Did Harry and Olivia breakup and he decided to spit on her? I don’t think so. Were Chris Pine and Harry Styles beefing over the preliminary press conference in which Pine looked annoyed? Maybe. Did Harry Styles even spit or was his mouth in an awkward position? Potentially. Although Pine denied the accusation in a statement to People magazine, the internet fan base has run with rumors. At his first concert back from Venice, in his New York residency, he even made fun of the rumors stating, “I just came back from Venice to spit on Chris Pine”.  He  even dispelled rumors from his infamous spit-gate.

Do you think Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine or do you think it simply looked like it?
