Ok. It is that time of year. Pumpkin spice lattes are back. I truly feel like Dunkin’ and Starbucks are really the front runners for coffee shops, at least near me. They both offer pumpkin spice lattes, so I decided to save you the time (and let me drink more PSLs) and try both and let you know which I feel is superior.

So first off, price. Dunkin’ is by far more affordable. There is no question there. You can get like two at Dunkin’ for the price of only one at Starbucks.

Second, flavor. I personally feel that they are both excellent, but when you have them side by side comparing them, I felt that the Starbucks drink had a better flavor. I think the Dunkin’ was a bit watery next to the Starbucks, but I think that was the actual coffee, not this particular latte. Sidenote, I feel like Starbucks nine times out of 10, gives you whipped cream on their lattes and Dunkin’ is more like five times out of 10 unless you make a point to ask for it. I love whipped cream on my lattes and Starbucks has the best whipped cream of anywhere. It is literally so thick and creamy, it sticks to the roof of your mouth and that honestly cannot be beat.

Third, coffee buzz. This is easy. Dunkin’s coffee is way more palatable plain and does not give you that crazy coffee buzz like Starbucks. To be fair though sometimes the Starbucks coffee buzz is just too much especially if it is not first thing in the morning, or you have terrible anxiety like me (LOL).

Overall, they are both great coffees. For the price Dunkin’ is it, but if you are looking for a richer flavor or a caffeine kick, Starbucks is your lady.

Enjoy fall. Enjoy warm fuzzy drinks, especially the PSL.
