This summer was truly one for the books. Hollywood and the celebrities really popped off when it came to this summer. From the Barbie movie to the Eras Tour, this summer was one to remember.

In the movie industry, there were a number of hits produced. Fans across the United States got to have the Barbenheimer debate. In my case, I watched both Oppenheimer and the Barbie movie and enjoyed them both. Girls, young and old, everywhere dressed up to see the iconic Barbie movie with Margot Robbie. Aside from those two movies, America was also presented with No Hard Feelings with Jennifer Lawrence, the sequel to The Meg, titled The Meg 2, a conclusion to the Indiana Jones franchise, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, as well as a new addition to the Mission Impossible franchise, Mission Impossible-Dead Reckoning Part One. There was something for everybody in the theaters.

If you were more of a live performance person, there were so many good touring shows this summer. I know just in the midwest alone, there was a plethora of talent taking the stage. Taylor Swift made her way across the country with the Eras Tour this summer, stopping in large cities like Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Los Angeles. Other artists also toured. Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, Beyonce, and the Jonas Brothers were among the many artists touring the US.

Many artists also dropped new music. Travis Scott released Utopia, Taylor Swift dropped Speak Now Taylors Version, Post Malone released Austin, and so much more. There was not a lack of new music coming out.

Even though the summer will be hard to beat, the school year is bound to be filled with more wonderful releases. Artists like Doja Cat and Jack Harlow will be touring through the fall. To add on, Taylor Swift’s new album 1989 Taylors Version is set to release in October. For movies, there are a number of horror movies coming to theaters soon to get everyone in the Halloween spirit. All in all, don’t let that post-summer depression hit because there is still a ton of wonderful stuff coming from Hollywood!
