Some days I just don’t feel like wearing makeup. Or, somedays I don’t have the time to put makeup on. For those days, I have created a simple, quick makeup routine. It is the perfect look for a lazy Sunday or a day of classes.

Step 1: Moisturize Moisturizing your skin is the first and most important step in any makeup routine. Starting any makeup routine this way allows your skin to properly handle having makeup on it all day. I use Mario Badescu’s facial spray. I like his facial sprays the best because they are light weight.

Step 2: Conceal For this makeup routine, I don’t use a foundation but instead just like to conceal my problem spots. I typically conceal my under eyes and any other problem spots like a pimple. I use just a dab of my favorite concealer, Shape Tape by Tarte and then blend it in with a damp beauty blender.

Step 3: Eyeshadow I like to wear a small amount of eye shadow because I feel that it helps bring some color to my face. I use a warm brown color because that looks best with my olive skin tone. I use Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadows almost exclusively. They are pricey but they last forever and will not melt off your face! Using a round fluffy brush I spread the color all over my eyelid and then buff it out into my crease. I use the color “realgar.”

Step 4: Mascara No makeup look is complete without mascara (or fake eyelashes). I typically use an eyelash curler along with my mascara but it’s not necessary. My favorite mascara is Better Than Sex by Too Faced and if you ask me, it is worth every penny. I apply 2-3 coats on my top lashes and also apply a small amount to my bottom as well for more definition.Step 5: Fill in brows This step is optional depending on the natural shape of your eyebrows or amount of time you have. I use NYX’s eyebrow pencil. I like their pencils because they have a wide color range and the pencils have a brow brush on one end. I start my brows by brushing them upward with the brush, putting them into the shape I want. Then I see where they need filled in. I start with small strokes building up the color to give my brows a natural look. And with that my makeup routine is done! 5 minutes and ready for the whole day.
