4 Reasons Why I loved ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’

***SPOILER ALERTS*** Based off a book written by Jenny Han, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the teenage rom-com of the year in my opinion. When I first watched it, I loved the movie so much; I couldn’t stop watching or look away. Every scene was amazing, even people who don’t normally like cheesy movies loved it. Here are five reasons why I loved the movie:

1. Noah Centineo and Lana Condor

The chemistry between these two was crazy! I loved watching them together, but what makes the pairing even better is their friendship in real life. I mean just look at their posts on Instagram. Not to mention Noah is cute!

2. Relatable AF

The first scene of the movie is Lara Jean, played by Lana Condor, dreaming about the boy she has a crush on until she gets a pillow to the face thrown by her sister. I haven’t had a first scene more relatable in my life.

Growing up timid, I didn’t always have someone to eat lunch with just like Lara Jean. I loved when she went to the library to try and read, except I would probably be eating chips not carrots.

3. The outfits

I loved Lara Jean’s outfits! They were so cute as was the rest of the cast’s outfits, especially Gen’s Uggs.

4. The cheese

The cheesiness of this movie is so real! I love the idea of writing letters to your significant other, but it’s so cheesy and I love it!! Although I loved the movie and Lara Jean and Peter Kavinksy’s relationship, it was obvious they were going to end up together. It just goes to show fake dating most of the time ends in a real relationship. The homage to an OG classic Sixteen Candles with putting a hand in the back pocket was a great way to tie in older teen rom-coms and enough cheese to not put the movie over the top.

I can’t wait to start reading the book! I really hope there’s going to be a sequel because they can’t leave us or John Ambrose from the Model UN hanging. What did you think of the movie? Tweet us and let us know!
