3 Binge-Worthy Netflix Shows to Watch this Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Purdue chapter.

This past year, we have seen so much great content premiere all over the internet in places like
Netflix, Hulu, HBOMax and more! I don’t know about you, but I have definitely become an avid
TV binger! Fall time doesn’t only have to denote a new school year and the leaves changing
colors. Fall time means new TV shows! Here are a few I’m looking forward to:

Sex education

I started this show last summer and it instantly became an iconic one for me. The main
character, Otis, starts a student sex-advice clinic for kids at his school. Through this
business, he befriends the stereotypical loner girl, Maeve, and the two bond. The rest of the
seasons follow Otis and Maeve’s friendship and their other relationships with the other
characters. Season 3 is set to premiere on September 17th, so I’m looking forward to seeing
Otis and Maeve rekindle their relationship.

On my block

This show has been a favorite of mine since it premiered in 2018 and has kept me
interested since the start. The show follows 4 Californian, Black and Brown high school
teens going through the troubles and tribulations of high school (mixed with some crazy
treasure-hunting adventures). The main cast – Monse, Caesar, Ruby, Jamal, and Jasmine –
have a place in my heart and I’ve become invested in their plots as individuals but also as a
friend group. October 4th is when the 4th and final season premieres and I couldn’t be more
excited!

You

This show is another one that is very hard to stop watching once you start. YOU is a
thriller/drama that follows the main character, Joe Goldberg, and his relationships with
different women. Joe has deadly obsessive tendencies when he finds a new object of his
affection. But the coolest part about this show is how Joe is framed as both the antagonist
and protagonist of the show. It’s just up to you on how you choose to view him each
episode. Season 2 ended on such a cliffhanger and I’m dying to get back into the world of
Joe in YOU, on October 15th.

So while you’re getting ready to enjoy your favorite fall drinks or snuggle up in your
warmest fall sweater, don’t forget to check out these awesome Netflix shows returning to
our screens very soon!
