If you are a Swiftie like me, you have been waiting for 1989 Taylor’s Version to come out since it was announced on August 10th. We have been patient and it is finally here!

As soon as this album was released, I immediately listened to all of the songs and I spent all of October 27th listening and relistening to these tracks. Swift mentioned that this was her favorite re-record and I have to say, it did not let us down. This album is a banger, and all of the ‘from the vault’ songs are absolute masterpieces. To add on, all of the re-records sound fantastic and make me nostalgic for when this album first came out. I have been a Swiftie for life, and I was 10 when the original came out, and it is so cool to see it finally being reclaimed by Taylor Swift. These songs remind me of my youth, and it is so cool to be able to hear them reinvented.

As for the vault songs, I feel like they really add to 1989 Taylor’s Version. My absolute favorite vault song is Say Don’t Go. It is the perfect mix of sad lyrics and a catchy tune. The lyrics are absolutely heartbreaking and remind me of my own past break-ups. One of her other vault songs, Is it Over?, has been gaining traction on Tik-Tok. There is a lot of speculation that this tragic song is about her relationship with pop sensation, Harry Styles. Whether this is true or not, I cannot confirm. All I can say is that if it is true, Styles has some explaining to do.

I absolutely loved this re-recorded album and I am excited to add these new songs to my daily playlists. There is a new sound that makes this album even better, and I can’t wait to see what Taylor Swift does in the near future!
