As the fall semester is coming to an end and the Holiday season is in full swing, girls all over campus are questioning what to wear when rocking around the Christmas tree or celebrating Hanukkah.  Deep bold colors are right in vogue this holiday season, but don’t think shimmer and shine are ruled out.

There is a happy medium between shimmer and matte, bold and subdue, color and black. The go to look for me this holiday season is a black sequin skirt paired with a black blouse, black blazer, and a great statement necklace like this one from Aldo. If I’m feeling edgy I might even pair my look with a mistletoe green heel like this great BCBG pair.

I never skip out on my red nails during the holiday season. Essie Berry hard makes it very hard not to get into the holiday spirit.

So this holiday season, wear whatever gets you in the spirit. If you want to keep your sparkle and incorporate some of vogues hot bold colors go right ahead! Don’t be afraid to show some color even if it’s just on your nails or your feet. Keep an element of surprise in your holiday wardrobe, just like the presents you are dying to open.
