Who’s Who In Taylor Swifts Star Studded “Bejeweled” Music Video

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at PSU chapter.

Taylor Swift recently dropped her music video for her single “Bejeweled” and the music video was anything but low key. The video featured a myriad of stars in Swift’s retelling of Cinderella (Taylor’s Version, of course). Below are the stars listed in order of appearance.

The Haim Sisters

One can never forget the iconic songs that HAIM and Swift have collaborated on. So, seeing their acting skills put to the test in their iconic reprise of the roles of the evil step sisters was truly a treat. Danielle, Este and Alana definitely played their parts well.

Danielle Haim plays the step-sister who “wants the ring” from the elusive Prince Jack, Este Haim plays the step-sister who “wants the title” of Princess which in order to secure, needs a proposal from the Prince and Alana Haim simply “wants the d***” of said Prince Jack.

Laura Dern

Laura Dern put her show stopping acting skills to good use in her reprise of Wrench Taylor’s evil step mother. She was definitely a jump scare in the video, as one doesn’t often find Oscar winners in Swift’s videos, but she was a most welcome and exciting surprise. I think we can all agree she put the evil in evil step mother.

For some background, Dern is a well accomplished actress. Her most recent notable roles are that of the show “Big Little Lies” and the movie “Little Women.”

She also won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2020 for her role in “Marriage Story.”

Dita VON TEESE

Legendary burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese was everything we didn’t know we needed in a Taylor Swift music video.

Von Teese plays Wrench Taylor’s diamond studded and fabulous fairy god-mother. Her and Swift take a dip in their fabulous martini glasses.

One must also stop to admire Von Teese and Swifts beautiful diamond encrusted corsets. These two captured the literal essence of the song “Bejeweled.”

Dita Von Teese is known for her burlesque performance. She clearly put her skills to work in this show stopping music video.

Pat Mcgrath

A most unexpected surprise was that of Pat McGrath. McGrath is an iconic British make-up artist and entrepreneur whose company is valued at one billion dollars.

McGrath plays the very enthusiastic Queen Pat, who is very much enthralled with Wrench Taylor and her performance at the talent show. So much so, she “forces” Prince Jack to propose to Wrench Taylor.

Jack Antonoff

There is so much to say about the iconic singer/writer/producer Jack Antonoff.

He has worked with Swift on every project of hers since the record breaking and Grammy-winner “1989” album that was released in 2014.

He’s also worked with stars such as Lana Del Rey, Lorde, Clairo and many more.

His most recent project was on Swift’s “Midnights.” He is also credited as a writer and producer on “Bejeweled.”

That is why it is perfectly fitting for Antonoff to play the ghosted Prince Jack in this iconic music video.

Swift has a history of featuring famous celebrities in her music videos and “Bejeweled” was another successful exemple for that.
