The woman, the myth, the legend: Chrissy Teigen! We all know her as a successful model, writer, wife of singer-songwriter John Legend, and the sassiest woman to ever grace Twitter. Chrissy Teigen is a strong female role model for women everywhere, and we can all learn a thing or two from her. Here are some major life lessons that Chrissy has taught us:

1. Stand up for yourself and don’t take crap from anyone.

Chrissy Teigen is a firm believer in the saying, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” She relentlessly shuts down trolls who criticize her body, her marriage and her parenting skills, just to name a few. She doesn’t take crap from anyone and has inspired the rest of us to follow in her footsteps.

2. Don’t take life too seriously.

Chrissy Teigen has an iconic sense of humor, most notably shown on her Twitter account where she uses her quick wit to take down critics, trade witty banter with her husband, and showcase her comedic side to all of her fans. Chrissy’s humorous tweets and comical personality remind us to have fun in life and to not take ourselves too seriously.

3. Love the body you have.

Chrissy is body positive and an advocate for loving the body you’re in. She’s honest about her body and her flaws, and from talking about cellulite to stretch marks, she doesn’t shy away from being real and candid about her body. By doing so, she encourages the rest of us to love our bodies as well, flaws and all.

4. Be unapologetically opinionated.

Chrissy Teigen says what she means and means what she says. Chrissy relentlessly stands up for what she believes in. She stands up for her political views in the face of backlash and backs up her opinions with her actions, like donating to the Time’s Up movement and offering to pay Gymnast McKayla Maroney’s fine for speaking out against serial abuser Larry Nassar. She is unabashedly real and lives her life authentically, and in doing so inspires us to voice our opinions while living our lives as genuinely as possible.

From all us collegiettes, thank you, Chrissy!
