Trending 2022 Halloween Costumes

Have you seen the new Elvis movie that came out in June 2022? It was definitely a huge hit as reviews and videos of the movie have been seen all over TikTok. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these characters in the movie made appearances in Halloween costumes this year.

One costume that I’m expecting to be popular is Priscilla Presley’s look. In the 1960s, her thick, black cat-eye and bouffant hair were keeping up with the trends. Her style has even inspired some of Lana Del Ray’s famous hair and makeup looks.

Find your closest Halloween store or shop on Amazon for a 1960s inspired dress, buy a dark black liquid eyeliner and a lot of hairspray. You’re going to need it for keeping the hair in place all night long if you plan on dressing like Priscilla.

The fourth season of “Stranger Things” hit the ground running this summer with a two-part season and some new characters, one of them being Chrissy Cunningham, the Hawkins High head cheerleader.

Spoiler alert, Chrissy was killed off in the first episode of season four by Vecna, so her time with “Stranger Things” was short but impactful because she was an unexpected victim.

If you’re looking for an easy costume, I recommend this one. You’ll need a large, green scrunchy, the Hawkins High School cheerleader uniform and a pair of white sneakers. All you’ll need to do to your hair is throw it up in a ponytail and curl the end of it.

Miles Teller. Guys with their shirts off. Guys in uniforms. Instant obsession. Top Gun: Maverick came out in May 2022 and became a smashing hit because of the male characters. While you could be Penny Benjamin from the movie, I’ve seen plenty of females making their own Top Gun pilot uniform costumes.

You can go to any Halloween store to find the fighter pilot uniform. I have seen some girls who turn the pants into shorts and add some spice into other areas of the outfit. The sunglasses top the outfit as well.

This is another easy look for Halloween that you could do because it won’t take long to do and it won’t break the bank.

Seriously, when is the third season coming out?

Anyways, I have a feeling Cassie and Maddy costumes will be seen a lot this Halloween. There are many variations of all of their looks that you can put together, too.

For Maddy, you can wear the iconic black dress, her cheerleader uniform or the pink set shown in the photo. Oh, and you’ll need to throw your hair up in a half-up half-down look completed with a cat-eye.

For Cassie, you basically just copy Maddy. Kinda, sorta, not really. You can also wear her cheerleading uniform or her famous blue bathroom outfit where she screams, “I’m in love with Nate Jacobs.”

Another good look could be Cassie’s Halloween costume, Alabama Whirley. There’s also Rue, Jules and so many more characters to choose from.
