They say fashion trends come back every ten years or so. These TV shows are proof that the fashion trends of this era are just blasts from the past:

1. That 70s Show

The 70s were a time of rebellion and fashion, and a way for people to show their personality. Jackie Burkhart rocked colorful bellbottom jeans, flowered blouses and high stiletto platforms. It might have been 40 years ago, but these styles are very popular now.

2. Sex and The City

The 90s might have not been that long ago, but the fashion was dramatically different – or was it? Nope – 90s style is still very in in 2018. Carrie Bradshaw usually rocked her natural curly hair, tube tops, large fur coats, and thin-heeled stilettoes and grew to become a style icon with outfits we would still wear today.

3. Full House

The 90s are back, but the Tanner girls were definitely not rocking a fur coat like Carrie. Because Full House began in the late 80s and early 90’s style was a little different, these 80s trends we saw on this show were morphing into 90s trends. Their styles focused on colorful scrunchies, chunky belts, high-rise jeans and sheer tops. Urban Outfitters houses all of these fashion trends!

4. Stranger Things

The 80s might be known as one of the first decades for fashion, but the best trends have survived in the form of Stranger Things. Jean jackets and the denim craze were a large part of 80s style, and have become a large part of the current style as well. Eleven’s makeover with cuffed high-rise jeans, thick bracelets, converse and an oversized blazer are all timeless trends.

5. Friends

90s style again! The Friends gang all had their personal styles, but Rachel Green’s style in particular has returned now. Lace tops, layered T-shirts with bralettes, slip dresses over a long sleeve dress, overalls, checkered pants, and turtlenecks – the list goes on. Our styles now are heavily influenced by the mid to late 90s, and Friends is definitely the face of that time period.
