As a girl with no specific music taste, I often find myself enjoying sounds of so many different genres and styles. Below, I have listed 10 songs that I find absolutely perfect.

“Into the Mystic” by Van Morrison

When this song comes on, wherever I am and whatever I’m doing is paused for three minutes and 20 seconds. It is the perfect feel-good song for any occasion. Sitting on the beach, driving with your friends, doing homework, falling asleep– you name it. I love this song and think it should be a universal treasure.

“Cannock Chase” by Labi Siffre

This song genuinely makes me so calm every time it plays. It is the sweetest song I have ever heard.

I love Labi Siffre’s voice and think that all of his songs are amazing. If I had to pick, however, I could listen to “Cannock Chase” for the rest of my life, over and over, and never get sick of it. To me, it represents hope and the ability to overcome.

“Like a Prayer” by Madonna

Possibly the coolest song of all time. I love songs that are experiences, and this is definitely one. It makes you want to get up and dance wherever you are. It sounds like a song trapped in an 80s movie, and I couldn’t love it more.

“Taxes” by Geese

Geese is such a cool band, with songs that I think a lot of people would not necessarily expect from them. They are an indie rock band, often talked about for their instrumentals. However, I think that their lyricism is what is so amazing about their songs. “Taxes” is so amazing because of its emotional depth while remaining so refreshing at the same time.

“Going to California” by Led Zeppelin

Name a song that makes you want to drive on the West Coast with the windows down more than this song. It is absolutely perfect in every way. The guitar, the lyrics and of course the voice. It is so genuine, and the buildup is incredible. This is a song that goes on all playlists, no exceptions.

“Harvest Moon” by Neil Young

Possibly the greatest love song of all time. I love Neil Young, and this is the first song of his that I became absolutely obsessed with. His lyricism is unmatched. The beauty of this song is that it is like an individual experience for all listeners. It feels so sweetly intimate, and I think that’s what makes it perfect to me.

“Don’t Delete The Kisses” by Wolf Alice

This song sounds like you’re a 20-year-old girl waking up in New York City in the 2000s. This song is about questioning yourself, but it does it in the most fun way ever. I love the beat, but my favorite part is the delivery. It’s such a fun sing-along song and one that is included in all my car rides.

“Love Is” by Dove Ellis

Dove Ellis is such an underrated artist. He makes music that sounds like it comes from the depths of his soul. I love this song more than I can put into words, ironically enough.

It is so refreshing and reminds you that love should be simple, not something complicated. All of his songs are just as amazing, but this is certainly my favorite.

“I Want” by Mk.gee

In my opinion, there are very few artists like Mk.gee. His sound is so unique, and I love the vocals on his songs. It sounds like he is constantly experimenting with his music, but it works so well. This song always plays before I go to sleep and sounds like the sweetest dreams.

“Sweet Disposition” by The Temper Trap

This song instantly makes me feel like a main character at the end of a movie, knowing that everything is gonna work out and be okay. I love how it sounds and cannot listen without getting in a good mood. It is by far one of my favorites from The Temper Trap, and of course, all time.

Thank you so much for reading this article. I hope you enjoyed learning about the 10 songs that I consider perfect. You should definitely give them all a listen!
