When State College weather decides to be annoying and start off at 43 degrees and supposedly rise to a high of 73, choosing your outfit can be nearly impossible and end up with you throwing your entire closet on the floor. However, Sara’s layered (and weather appropriate!) outfit allows her to remove layers while still looking fashionable and not losing her pretty outfit.

Name: Sara Smith

Year: Sophomore

Major: Advertising/Public Relations

What she’s wearing: A dark coral colored sweater from Forever 21, a faux-leather tan vest from Free People, white scarf from Forever 21, classic black leggings, and faux-leather combat boots from Macy’s.

HC: Does it take you a lot of time in the morning to put an outfit together?

Sara: Fortunately for me, I have a bunch of pieces that I know work well together, so I pick from those every morning and it makes my mornings less hectic!

HC: How do you usually go about putting together a look?

Sara: I always check the weather app on my phone before doing anything. Then I normally choose black leggings or dark jeans and go from there. I can’t live without my black leggings! I’m also seriously into leather jackets or vests, so I love adding those to so many different outfits.
