The cast of “Stranger Things” begins filming for season five in May and I couldn’t be more excited, as this is one of my favorite shows. I follow all of the updates about the show and I’m always looking at TikTok‘s of theories or spoilers for what’s coming out.
Someone dies toward the end of each season, and I know this season’s death is going to hurt like a “butt cheek on a stick” (if you don’t get this reference, we can’t be friends).
Now, I’ve made a list of possible deaths for season five, and let me preface this with saying that this is just my personal belief— I’m not doing this based on theories or anything like that, I’m doing this based on the current situation the character is in.
Also, let me preface my thoughts with saying that you have to have watched the show in order to understand what I’m saying— so expect some spoilers ahead.
- Will byers

I feel like he’s a given because of his mind connection to Vecna. In every season, something bad happens to Will.
Every time the Mind Flayer was attacked, he felt it. In season four, he could feel Vecna’s feelings because he’s sort of connected to the hive mind. I think Vecna will be destroyed, and if this happens, I think Byers will die, too.
I feel like out of all the boys in the group, he would be the one to get cut.
- Eleven

I feel like she is a given too, but I’m really torn about it. Since she got her powers back, she’s really the only person that can defeat Vecna. With as much power as he has, I don’t see anyone else in the show able to destroy him.
The more Eleven uses her power, the more it weakens her. So, if she uses all of what she has to destroy Vecna, I can see her and Vecna dying at the same time. However, I can see her and the boys finding out a way to destroy him without using all of her power.
- STEVE harrington

If this happens, I will sue Netflix. Steve Harrington is probably my favorite TV show character of any show in the world— I’m also a little biased because I’ve had a huge crush on him since season one.
Harrington is the babysitter of the group since he’s the oldest, and he’s always making sure the others are safe. If he does die, I feel like it will happen in a very dramatic ending to the season when he’s trying to protect the others from harm.
Again, if this does happen, I will sue.

In season four, Mike just kind of blended in and we didn’t see a whole lot of screen time from him. If we did, his attitude sucked and I honestly didn’t want to pay attention to him. I just get a gut feeling about him though.
Besides Will, I feel like he would be the one to die either when saving Eleven or saving his friends. He hasn’t been much of a friend like he used to be, so I feel like he’s going to die trying to gain that back.

I threw Murray on this list because out of all the characters to die, I feel like he’ll be axed.
His character is hilarious and he’s more of a vital part of the show now, but I won’t be too terribly upset if does end up killed off. He just doesn’t fit into the bigger picture and if he does end up dying, I feel like everyone will want to avenge his death.
I do want him to stick around, but I just have a feeling that he would be the one to die out of all the adults on the show.
We do have to wait a while for the final season to come out, and we don’t know when that time will be. What I do know is that it’s going to be one hell of season and I will probably cry through most of it.
Also, you may be wondering why I don’t have Max on this list. I really think she’s going to wake up from her coma and play a huge part in the destruction of Vecna. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
