Reasons Girls Should Call It A Night

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at PSU chapter.

Whether you are a freshman or senior, homebody or party animal, I am certain that college life has exposed you to many unforgettable experiences. For some girls, a night out may be fun, chaotic, or just really really embarrassing. But regardless of what your night is like, it’s time we all learn when it’s appropriate to call it a night.

There is no shame in having a memorable night, but before you make any regretful mistakes, let the following tips be your go-to advice. If you any of the scenarios listed below happen to you this weekend, it’s best you head home.

1. You lose your friends at a crowded party for over an hour. First, try to get in contact with them. But, if you can’t, call Penn State’s walking service (814-863-9255), so that you have someone to walk home with.

2. You talk to girls you really dislike and tell them that you should all be friends. Leaving will help you avoid forming fake friendships.

3. Your eyes just don’t seem to want to stay open, so you keep them half closed and think it looks exotically sexy, especially in pictures. That’s when you know it’s time to stop posing for pictures that will be instantly uploaded to Facebook and probably best to hit the road.

4. You begin to think you’re a really good dancer and anyone who comes up behind you, whether it be your best friend or some creepy frat boy, becomes your new dance partner.

5. You think about calling your ex-boyfriend.

6. You assume your boyfriend is cheating on you when he doesn’t pick up his phone when you call him. Relax, he could be sleeping after all.

7. You consider going to Are You Hungry, Taco Bell, or Canyon Pizza. Besides, is it really worth having to hit the gym for an extra hour tomorrow?

8. You can barely stand because your heels are causing excruciating pain, yet you’re still convinced you can withstand the pain and cold and make it home alone. You could always call a taxi. But, with that…

9. You form what you think is an everlasting friendship with taxi drivers.
