Whenever I’m in a certain mood, it’s always so hard to find the playlists that meet my current vibe. Yes, Spotify creates some mood playlists, but after a while the songs get repetitive and overplayed.

Recently, I’ve been looking on TikTok. It really has been hooking me up with some killer playlists. Unfortunately for my Apple Music users, this is not for you, I am strictly a Spotify listener. Here are a couple of my personal favorite playlists for any mood.

Granola and Oat Milk Latte Type of Mood

I love a good indie playlist once in a while. I get to live my dream of driving across the country and doing early morning hikes from the comfort of my small college apartment.

It makes me feel like I can smell the crisp air of an early morning in the mountains, a vibe I believe everyone should get on.

Here is a perfect mix between indie and soft country. Every time I listen I instantly feel my stress slipping away.

This playlist is constantly in my rotation. Though I may be biased because one of my best friends created it, it will not disappoint your expectations for alternative dreams.

Bad B*tch Mood

Whenever I am getting ready for something or simply hanging out with my roommates, I love to crank bangers to get myself hyped up. I have listened to a lot of the Spotify pre-made playlists and none of them quite live up to the hype.

If you want to feel like the absolute baddest b*tch in the room, I have the one for you.

This is another great one for any occasion and it is equally exhilarating.

In Your Feels

Everyone has those days where you just want to curl up in your bed and listen to sad music to make the pain go away. There’s no shame in putting on headphones and having a good cry, so to save you the trouble of looking for a playlist for this mood, here are my personal favorites.

It features a couple oldies as well as new songs which create the perfect balance. It will definitely put you in major sad boy hours.

Similar vibe in this playlist but mostly modern songs. It has a lot of top-charters while still throwing in some good songs for you to discover.

Good Vibes

I am always up for a mood boosting playlist, but I am tired of the premade playlists on Spotify, so I went searching for a new one. I am constantly looking for good road trip songs and I discovered a playlist that emits those immaculate vibes.

I am a sucker for a playlist packed with 1970s and ’80s songs because they fit the road trip aesthetic so well and this one does so flawlessly.

If you are looking for something with a more modern twist this one’s for you. You will not be disappointed. I guarantee a single listen will put you in the best mood.

Procrastination Nation

As a professional procrastinator who always is doing my assignments last minute, I require the perfect playlist to get myself motivated. The playlist needs to be good, but not too engaging or else I will just be singing rather than getting things done. Here are my study playlists of choice.

This playlist is my ideal studying playlist because all the songs are so calming and lowkey which helps me focus.

Here is another classic in my rotation. Similar to the other one, it’s composed of a lot of very chill songs that will get you in the study mood.

Happy listening, collegiettes!
