How To Listen to Miley’s Entire New Album

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at PSU chapter.

This may be Miley’s best album yet, and I’ve compiled the perfect list of scenarios for when to listen to each song:

“WTF Do I Know”

This is the song you listen to when you’re just home from college and are driving through your old hometown. You could be driving by your old friend’s  or ex-boyfriend’s houses, either way this song is perfect for either scenario. It gives off 90’s rock, main character, “baddie” vibes.

“Plastic Hearts”

Play this song after getting your hair and nails done. It is the perfect song for swinging your hair and dancing around. It gives throwback vibes.

“Angels Like You”

Play this on a chill night outside with your friends. Gather around a fire and play this laid-back song for the best vibes. The people who don’t know this song will totally ask who is on AUX and what this song is called.

“Prisoner” with Dua Lipa

Listen to this song when driving with your girls to go get dinner or on a long road trip — roll the window down and turn the volume up, trust me.

“Gimme What I Want”

Listen to this song when your family, friends, or significant other has pissed you off and you’re in an edgy mood. This would also be perfect to play when you find out you passed a class you thought you were totally going to fail.

“Night Crawling” with Billy Idol

This is the perfect night-driving song and gives off funky, 80’s vibes. I can already hear this being played during a girls’ night out or a themed party.

“Midnight Sky”

This is another great song for after getting your nails done. It’s also a great mood-booster for long drives home.

“High”

This is the perfect song to cry to while driving at sunset. Park at the beach, a lake, or a pretty field, and blare this song at max volume. It gives the perfect country feel with the acoustic guitar.

“Hate Me”

This sounds like it would be in a Hannah Montana movie, but with a slightly more mature feel. It gives 2000’s vibes: sitting in the back seat pretending you’re the main character in a movie.

“ Bad Karma” with Joan Jett

Blare this song when mopping the floors or vacuuming — you’re going to want to play the air guitar and aggressively bump your head.

“Never Be Me”

Sob in your bed, enjoy the lyrics, and let it sink in. This is such a relatable song with elements of heartbreak, confidence, and a soothing melody.

“Golden G String”

This is a great night-driving song. Play this when you’re leaving a friend’s house on your drive home. This song will get you very sentimental, but it has such a grateful vibe. You might start crying, you might not — no judgement.

“Edge of Midnight” with Stevie Nicks

Obviously we all know this from seeing it all over TikTok. Just blare this every second of every day: during class, walking the dog, folding laundry — all the time!

“Heart of Glass”

Any Miley song that’s live is simply unbeatable. Play this one with your girls in the car. The perfect way to listen to and sing this song, however, is in the shower!

“ Zombie”

You will feel like such a badass when listening to this song; just embrace it and play the air guitar.

Happy listening, collegietes!
