Hoping to spread some fall fever this week, we come to you with some of our favorite pumpkins from the annual Pumpkin Festival at a little place we like to call the Arboretum. Described on it’s website as, “an outreach, teaching, and research facility dedicated to preserving the beauty and ecological functions of vegetated landscapes in an urbanizing society”, the Arboretum has long been revered by the Penn State community as one of the most visually appealing spots in Happy Valley.
Though being located in central PA means this beautiful vegetation is blanketed in snow most of the year, the spring and fall seasons is when this place truly thrives. You don’t have to be a nature freak to appreciate everything the Arboretum has to offer. It’s the perfect little getaway from the constant bustle of State College.Â
