Formal As Told By Keeping Up With The Kardashians

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at PSU chapter.

Ah, yes it’s the most wonderful time of the year, also known as: #formalszn. It is the time when we freak out over who were asking, stressing over what to wear and attempting to make it down the steps at Indigo. I’m sure we can all recount a million things that have gone wrong at our own dated functions or ones that we were invited to, but to save us all of the humiliation I’m going to explain the stages of a dated function.

Having to curl your hair, get your dress on and do your makeup

That moment of panic when your date is two minutes late and you think you’re being stood up

Running to the white loop in your heels because you’re already late to the pregame

Walking into the apartment with your date and knowing that you look bad as hell

When your friends ask you if you and your date are going to hook up

Asking your friend to be in charge of basically an entire photoshoot for you

When your date helps you down the stairs at Indigo

When you’re questioning what that one girl is wearing

Dancing alone in the corner

When you think your friend is about to get with her date

When your date ditches you

When you’re ready to leave

Having to bring your friend home

Finally getting into your bed

No matter who your date is, what your dress looks like all that matters is that you have fun and dance the night away, happy formal season, collegiettes!
