A Feel Good Playlist For When You’re Sad In The Winter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at PSU chapter.

Time to pump up those jams, collegiettes! It’s the end of February, which means it’s cold out, the skies are gray and the wind is strong. When the days are constantly overcast, life can seem dreary. You might feel like the sunshine will never return again and you’ll be forced to wear 10 layers of clothing for the rest of eternity. But have no fear, I have a temporary solution.

Nothing lifts my spirits like music. So, I made a playlist full of upbeat, happy songs. Here are five songs on the playlist, click on the link to see the full playlist.

1. End of Time by Beyoncé

Bey never fails to create an upbeat bop. The beat is catchy and sure to make anyone groove.

2. Celeste by Ezra Vine

This song creates a happy, whimsical vibe that is contagious. I’ve played this song on repeat for hours because it makes me think of sunshine.

3. A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton

We stan a classic. This iconic 2000’s hit is full of great lyrics and killer piano.

4. No tears left to cry by Ariana Grande

Ari YAAS. This jam always makes me wanna get up and dance. When the song changes from slow to fast, I am gone, deceased.

5. Better Than Words by One Direction

How could I make a playlist without including my favorite boy band? One Direction are pros (stop guys I’m hoping for a reunion) at the up-tempo ballads and party bangers. The guitar and whistling always puts me in a good mood.

Happy listening!
