5 Trendy Halloween Costumes You Can Make From Your Closet

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at PSU chapter.

As Halloween is right around the corner, people are frantically trying to decide what to be this year. However, most people don’t want to spend a lot of money on Halloween this year, especially since we have to wear masks.

On my costume search, these are the costumes I have found that I could put together from my closet without having to spend any money.

1) Biker chicks

All you need for this costume ultimately is black clothes, preferably leather. There are so many different ways you could be a biker, so you can have fun with it and customize it to your liking.

2) Schoolgirls

Especially with the current glasses trend, most people will probably have all the necessities for being a schoolgirl right in their closet. You can style it anyway you want and it’s super cute!

3) Skiers

This happens to be one of my favorite costumes ever. Grab your favorite pair of leggings, sports bra, and pom pom hat and ur basically done! You can add sunglasses or ski goggles if you want, but you don’t even need them to make this look cute.

4) Cowgirls

I absolutely love cowgirls. All you need is some type of denim bottom and a flannel. You can style it however you want and throw on a cowboy hat and you are done! Cowboy boots are always a plus, but you don’t need them if you don’t have them in your closet already. 10/10 recommend trying out this one.

5) Witches

Just throw on everything in your closet that’s black and buy a pointy hat! You can’t go wrong with this classic.

Happy Halloween, collegiettes!
