As the trees of green turn to beautiful, warm shades, the season of fall is upon us.

Embrace the season of change and make this fall the best one yet. These 10 tips will get you started, but it’s up to you to supply the seasonal magic.

Transform, Renew and Find Balance

Turn over a new leaf this fall. Reflect on the past season, renew yourself with some self-care and finally make that change you’ve been debating on.

Fall also represents balance, a symbol that stems from pagan religions. During the autumn equinox, day and night are equal in length. Take that cosmic harmony and use it to restore balance to your life.

Decorate Your Space

Unbox last year’s fall decor and reinvent the space you call home. Get new decorations if you don’t have any, and find the best ones — high quality for a low price— at thrift stores.

Don’t throw away your decor when the winter holidays come. Instead, save it in a box for next year. It will save your pocket and the environment.

Surround Yourself With Seasonal Scents

Elevate your newly decorated space with your favorite fall aromas. Use seasonal candles, wax melts and air fresheners to further transform your environment.

Use perfume to bring your fall fragrances with you anywhere. The right scent will get you in the fall spirit in no time.

Strut Your Seasonal Outfits

It’s finally sweater weather. Reuse your clothes from last fall and style them differently, or hit your favorite clothing stores.

Remember, it is the season of change, so now is the perfect time to try that new look. Find inspiration from people watching or online if you do not have something in mind.

Stock Up On Your Favorite Fall Foods

Enjoy seasonal sweet treats to prepare yourself for winter hibernation. Add your favorites to your next grocery list or spend extra on a pumpkin-flavored treat at a cafe.

Take a swing at a new recipe or make your classic favorites. Call your relatives to learn a family dish or invite your friends over to make your favorite dessert.

Refresh Yourself With Fall Beverages

No fall meal is complete without a complementary beverage. You’ll want to warm yourself up in a savory way as the temperature drops.

Brew some tea, coffee, cocoa or get a drink to go from your favorite barista. Bring out your mixer and make a drink for yourself or to share.

Queue Up a Fall Playlist

Compile your favorite songs that scream “fall vibes” or find pre-existing playlists. Play them on your morning commute or while you relax at home.

The seasons have inspired many songs, and fall is no exception. Decide how fall sounds to you, whether it is cozy or spooky.

Go Outside and Take a Stroll

Experiencing fall firsthand is the best way to enjoy the season. Take a walk under the changing trees, and if you need a breather, rest on a bench or in a leaf pile.

Go and combine the other tips from this list here. Take your seasonal outfit, warm beverage and fall playlist on your outing.

Head to Fall Events

If a walk isn’t enough to satisfy your seasonal cravings, find another fall-themed event. Head out for the day and have fun at pumpkin patches, corn mazes or hayrides.

You can travel to the events that spark your interest, but it’s always a wonderful idea to stay local too. If your area does not have any fall events, be the change you want to see and create one.

Participate in Fall Traditions

Reconnect with traditions you took part in as a child or ones that you have always wanted to try. When is the last time you went bobbing for apples?

Throw a pumpkin-carving party with your loved ones or have a fun evening to yourself and make a fall craft. There are so many traditions out there, so find the one that speaks to you or create your own.

Remember that there’s no correct way to celebrate the fall season. This list serves as a baseline to get the ideas pumping through you.

In the end, the only person who can make this fall a season to remember is you, so have fun!
