Halloween is just around the corner and the big question arises: Holy Crap! I need a costume and I don’t even know where to start! So here are a few ideas for some unique costumes for singles, couples, and friend costumes. Let’s Start!

Jeffrey Star and Shane Dawson:

This costume idea is for the youtuber savvy watchers since Shane Dawson has been releasing videos relating to the inside look into the beauty world and the nitty gritty details (hello percentages!)

To achieve the look:

Buy the jeffree star tracksuit set (available on Jeffree Star cosmetics) and get a white collar bone length white wig and a brown shaggy hair wig (go to your local party city/halloween store or just good ol’ Amazon).

Price:  Jacket ($55)

           Pants  ($45)

           Wigs ($10-$30)

           Estimated price: ($110-$130) ish

Cheaper Option:

Use a tracksuit if you already have one or go to the thrift store and buy a set (they are usually an easy find). And you can forgo the wigs and just style your natural hair if you wish to make it look like jeffree’s or shane’s hair. Just keep saying “Hi how are yah” (Jeffree) or “I’m poor” (Shane). This option might be harder to pull of but it is what you put in to it!

Price: Thrifting/own Tracksuit ($0-$20)

           Estimated price: $0-$20

White Claw:

This would be a cute costume but it might be a popular one this year. Just be cautious!

Price: Costume: $40 (via Etsy- they have the different colors too! So it can be a single or group costume!)

Midsommar:

While some might be confused by this outfit, avid horror movie fans might not be. Midsommar was the horror movie that came out this summer and was directed by the same person who directed the horror movie Hereditary. This outfit can be single, couples, or round up your friends. You just need some white western/ hippie/ old fashioned dresses and flower crowns. For the males, they just need white long sleeved shirts and white pants essentially (maybe easiest to describe it as the “Jesus” look?). Although those cover most of the looks in the movie, you can always dress as the May Queen (which would require more work and lots of fake flowers) and be butchered bear (Dani and her “ex” boyfriend)? The look is so versatile!

“Traditional” outfit ($15-$40+)- just type in midsommar costume and the style of the dresses will appear

Flower crown: $10+- via Amzaon, Etsy, etc.

Bear Outfit: $20+- Via Amazon and costume stores. If you are really creative, pin felt destroyed intestines and all to make it more like the morvie.

May Queen: Lots of fake flowers ($1+- Craft Stores, Dollar Tree), a blake white dress for the base (+$10) , glue gun ($3+), and lots of time.

The Kardashians (Or just Kim, Kylie, and Khloe)

This is also a costume that can be singles or go with your friends: You essentially just need a latex dress and a black long/blonde wig with those little heels and be very animated as well as dramatic the whole night.

American Horror Story 1984:

All of the American Horror Story seasons has great costume ideas. From Freakshow to Coven, you have so many options. Besides there are nine seasons to choose from. But we’ll look into what costumes you can do from the latest season, 1984.

For Marget’s look, the camp owner of the show, you will just need oversized oval glasses, tightly bonded curled honey blonde hair, bright pink lipstick, a neck scarf, with a long sleeve white collar blouse with cuffed sleeves, small dainty cross necklace, a beige sleeveless jacket and knee length beige khakis with a bigger belt. Bonus: a brown old-fashioned clipboard to complete the look.

Price: As always it depends where you get the stuff since it is a look. Some things you may already have, and can switch the details. For most of the look since it’s an 80’s look, you can find a lot of the look from second hand stores. But here is the break down roughly:

Glasses: +$2.00 ($8.99 Amazon)

Shorts: +$12 (shein)

Sleeveless jacket: +$10 ($22.19 via maurices)

Long white sleeved blouse: +$10 (Amazon)

Neck scarf: +$6.50 (ASOS)

Clipboard: +$1.79 (staples)

For hair: One can either curl their own hair or buy a wig (wigs range from $10+ online)

For lipstick: I’d buy a wet and wild lipstick for the look since they are cheaper since they range from $0.99-$5.00.

For montana’s look: you need a cheetah print dress, heart shaped glasses, small studded hip belts, a stack of small silver necklaces, have teased bleached blonde hair, rosy lipstick and electric turquoise/ blue eyeshadow with your water lines filled with black eyeliner.
