What happens if you want to stream great shows but your wallet is only allowing for one service? Well between Hulu and Netflix both have some ups and downs to choosing them and here they are.

Hulu

This service was launched in 2008.  It provides its user with a current feel to streaming. It allows you to keep up with shows as they air rather than having to wait many months for a new season to come out as you must do with Netflix.  This feature is awesome for people would don’t have the luxury of DVR because it allows you to keep up with current episodes without recording them. Another Thing great about Hulu is that you get to save a few bucks when deciding to buy their subscription. Although it isn’t much you end up saving a little under 40 dollars a year. Plus, with such a cheap price they give you things to add of for additional money, such as HBO or STARZ.

Great Hulu Shows

  • Drake and Josh
  • Rick and Morty
  • The Eric Andre Show
  • It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Broad City
  • Black-ish
  • East Los High
Netflix

This streaming service all started with a DVD by mail service and wowzah has it grown! Right off the bat, Netflix takes the cake in easy access due to it being offered worldwide, compared to Hulu. which is only offered in the US.  Netflix also provides a good mix of TV shows and movies, while Hulu does make great strides in TV series their Movie selection could use some work.  Netflix also shines with its original series, providing great movies and shows for all ages. Also, although technically Netflix is 3 dollars more expensive than Hulu, Netflix gives you great service without the annoyance of ads, which can’t be said about its competitor, however, there is an option for d-freee viewing on Hulu, you only have to DOUBLE your subscription cost.

Great Shows on Netflix

  • You
  • Queer Eye
  • Orange is the New Black
  • Stranger Things
  • Big Mouth
  • One Day at a Time
  • Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
  • American Crime Series (Versace Assassination, O.J. Simpson Trial)

In my personal opinion I think I’ll always be a Netflix girl, however, recently I’ve been dabbling into Hulu and I cannot complain! Depending on what you want from a streaming provider is going to be the main decision in choosing a service, but if the wallet is allowing you to splurge on both, I highly recommend!!
