Finals, a time where everyone has an insane amount of work to get done in a short amount of time. The stress of it all leads to some unhealthy and possibly insane behavior, which by the way makes you work up quite the appetite. That’s where PC’s Late Night Study Breaks come in handy. Every semester during finals week PC brings in catered food in to McPhails from your favorite places. The issue lies in the fact that they don’t buy enough for everyone and you can only get one thing per trip in line, so it takes commitment. My roommate and I got there around 8:30 to solidfy ourselfs the opportunity to snag some Chick-fil-a nuggets. An early arrival meant that at approximately 8:45 we were told where the line was going to start, and when I say that there was a stampede headed for where the McPhails worker pointed, I am not exaggerating.

I have no regrets, the 20 minutes that I spent in that line (without my phone) was totally worth it. What I learned from this experience was that I’m willing to go through a lot in order to get free Chick-fil-a. However, just because Chick-fil-a was worth it does not mean that every PC Late night study break is. What I reccommend is onlly go if you have the time and if the food is from one of you favorite places like Chick-fil-a or Chipotle. Big Tony’s is definitely and Jersey Mikes is definitely not worth waiting in line for when you should be writing that 10 page paper or studying for that final that you never cracked your book open for. Finally, if the food is good the night before a reading period (ie. Monday night), definitely go. Since most people on campus were out making the most out of their lives, I was able to go through the line multiple times and so I scored some waffle fries too.
