Taylor’s new album, The Life of Show Girl, is an all around FUN album. It’s light-hearted, with easy to dance to pop hits. With this new era comes a new color scheme: orange and mint. This color combination is not one that I would have expected and yet I think it is perfect. It aesthetically matches the vibe of the carefree vibe of the album, but it also symbolically conveys Taylor’s emotions in this new post Era’s Tour era. I saw a Tik Tok about how the color scheme represents a copper statue oxidizing to a minty green over time. Taylor, herself, symbolizes the statue. She is this bright, shiny performer put on a pedestal for everyone to see. Yet over time she becomes weathered, loosing her color and sparkle. No stranger to the public eye, Taylor has been in the limelight for a majority of her life. She has already written about her experience with fame and critics, the song “Clara Bow” being an embodiment of this. It is no doubt that the Era’s tour was an exhausting and rewarding experience for Taylor. The Era’s Tour documentary delves deep into her experience and is a MUST watch.
Side note: Thoughts on Taylor’s new orange cardigan? I lowkey love the orange sparkles however I feel like the cardigan is too folklore related and Taylor needs some new merch.
