Now I do not exactly have a list of favorite things but there are a number of things that serve me well or that I do enjoy…
In one of my jewelry boxes:
Betsey Johnson Earrings (left), on Macys.com
Earrings (right), from Accessorize
Given that Lillianand I both love BJ earrings, all must concur that it is a great brand and has styles for everyone. However, I also love these blue chandelier-style earrings from Accessorize. I actually got these in the UK but while putting the article together I discovered that they do have an online store that delivers to the US. #Excitement! You see I suffer from what some might describe as a fetish for jewelry so there are a great many options to put up here…. Fetish-stricken or not, you should definitely check Betsy Johnson and Accessorize out because between these two stores, you will find something to love.
On my Blackberry:
Calendar
I know this seems sad but in reality it is not. Life would just not be the same without my personalized schedule and gazillion alarms. It is a pretty awesome application and it is überuser-friendly. I use the BB 9800 Torch and really this app is pretty much its selling point for me. There are very few apps that can rival its capabilities. Indeed there are few devices that can rival the Blackberry 9800. I love my blackberry and it is not because of the Blackberry Messenger application. So if you do have a BB, get acquainted with your calendar.
On my book shelf:
L’ Étranger, by Albert Camus
I love this book so much I read it in French. Well actually, I read it in French first but either way, it tells the story of an extraordinary and yet (at least personally) ridiculously relatable character. The story is hard to summarize without giving an opinion but I suppose one could say that it chronicles the story of a man who does not cry at his mother’s funeral and is then sentenced to death for it. There is a lot that goes on in between and the simplicity of the plot highlights Camus’ elegant style. Other great reads include The Plague also by Camus and Woman at Point Zero by Nawal El Sadaawi.
In my closet:
Crop Pants, on Nordstrom
Crop pants are great because you can create a stylish look without having to try too hard. Also, believe it or not, they are just as easily dressed down. I found these on Nordstrom and although these are a little, well a lot, pricey, but you can find something of the sort in pretty much any women’s store. I have crop pants in at least three different colors and four different styles and I have yet to run out of ways to wear them especially given that they are so comfortable!
In my make-up bag:
Classic Lip Balm, by ChapStick
No, I am not kidding. I am serious about Chapstick. I do not use make up but I do love to look great and my lips are a major priority especially since this weather hurts them to pieces. So on days where I do not quite feel like sticking to good old Vaseline, Chapstick is a great source of spicy or shimmery protection for my lips!
In my shoe collection:
Escher Pump, by Nine West
I love pumps because they look good and you have to try really hard to ruin them with an outfit. I love Nine West shoes because they tend to be one of the few stores that actually have shoes my size at reasonable prices. So when you put those two things together i.e. Nine West + Pumps, you get something that I will probably love. Clearly, the Escher pump is great because it is a great color and even though patent can be a little tricky to get away with, these are workable.
