On top of my dresser:

Toy Watch, on toywatchusa.com
I was always looking for a cute accessory that goes with everything. And then I found toy watches. They are cute, classy, and come in so many colors that they can (or do not have to) match everything in your wardrobe. They’re also made of plasteramic, so they’re durable, but don’t look much like toys at all. I personally like the solid color watches; I have a blue one that goes with a lot of my outfits and a pink one that I wear to brighten up my wardrobe. If you want to be a little color crazy, they also have multi-colored watches, white watches with different colored watch heads, and even a few that glow in the dark.

 In my bookshelf:

A Raisin in the Sun, by Lorraine Hansberry
This play, staring Sean Combs (a.k.a. P. Diddy) was one of the first I saw with my mother and she  bought me a copy of the play afterwards. I was then assigned to read this book for a class at  Princeton, so this play has always been with me. It’s a story about a family in Chicago trying to  get by, and they finally have a chance to make their lives better, but with some opposition and  obstacles to face. I love how I can read this and see the characters still act out before me, as if I  were there. It’s a deep and meaningful story that I enjoy going back to.

In my iPod:

Iheartradio App
Finding good music is always hard to find, and finding a decent radio station is even harder. This free app gives me access to iheartradio’s online streaming radio, but it also connects me to lots of other radio stations from different cities across the country. I tend to just listen to their stations, but lots of times just for fun, I’ve tried listening to a hit radio station in New York or a Jazz station in Memphis. It’s a fun way to find new music and discover a new favorite radio station, even if it’s a few hundred miles away.

 In my make-up bag:

Sugar Flirt Lip Gloss, by Fresh
I do not wear make-up very often, so I don’t really like keeping much around with me. However,  when I need to look made-up, or if I just feel like looking glamorous, I love to pull this gloss out.  I just adore it. It’s light, it smells nice, and not too bright, so I have just the touch of color that I  want. Fresh has many other colors, too, and works really well for anyone looking for something  simple and easy that gives a natural look.

In my shoe collection:

Tate Ankle Boot, by munroshoes.com
I’m a tennis-shoes-all-day girl, but these boots are just my favorite. They come in four colors in suede, but I love the black leather ones. They’re simple and really comfortable, and since they’re short I don’t need to worry about shaping my legs with them. I wear them over tights or jeggings, whether I want to be dressed up or casual.
