Meg Partridge

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Princeton chapter.

Year: 2014

Major: Civil & Environmental Engineering

Hometown: Tewksbury, New Jersey

Sign: Cancer

Favorite color: Tigerlily pink

Favorite movie: It’s a tie between Chocolat (2000) and Casino Royale (2006). I love watching James Bond movies with my dad, and Chocolat never fails to remind me of the powers of human compassion.

How does it feel to be nominated? Flattered and pleasantly surprised… there are so many other campus cuties out there to choose from! Thanks to whoever nominated me!

What activities/extracurriculars are you involved in?
So many… some may say too many! I am really excited about The Sustainable Fashion Initiative, which I co-founded this past summer along with Carmina Mancenon ’14 and Jenna Rodrigues ’14, two of the lovely and stylish ladies who grace this campus. I am also co-President of the Princeton Social Entrepreneurship Initiative, a member of the Princeton Tigerlilies a cappella, part of the Soboyejo Research Group (working on ceramic water filtration in Kenya), and a Keller Center Fellow.

But I am truly at my happiest baking mini cupcakes (decorated with rainbow sprinkles, of course), writing music and listening to good music, and losing myself in the beautiful lyricism of Latin American literature. Not many people know this about me, but I am also an amateur astronomer and am licensed to operate the largest telescope in New Jersey open to the public!

Are you single or taken?

If you could bring 3 things with you to a desert island, what would they be?
My extra thick journal and pen, a water desalination kit, and a Swiss Army Knife.

Tola Emiola is a Princeton undergraduate in the class of 2014. She is an English major, pursuing a certificate in African Studies. She is a member of Princeton's Disiac Dance company, Umqombothi, and Princeton African Students Association. The proud Houstonian likes to dance, sing, read, write, travel, and knit. She's so happy to be part of Her Campus and looks forward to working with her partner in crime, Ajibike, to expand the Princeton branch.
