Welcome to the newest Her Campus Princeton column: Made for a Collegiette. On a regular basis, we will feature a brand, product, or our current obsession. We hope that you Princetonettes will find the featured products, obsession, and brands not only fantastic but utterly desirable. Let us know what you think in the comment box below.

Her Campus Princeton Meets Influenster
We have all heard of various makeup, food, clothing, and nail polish subscription programs. Prime examples are the Julep Maven Program by our vary own Jane Park and other loved programs such as ShoeDazzle, Birchbox, and ShoeMint. The downside of these programs is the price that can, on a collegiette’s budget, pose a problem. Welcome to the alternative–Influenster. Influester is a “community of trendsetters invited to share their lifestyles and show their influence to qualify for personalized product shipments, special rewards and exclusive deals from the brands they love.” The very best part is that the products, shipped a collective VoxBox, are free. Talk about a score!

These VoxBoxes are not the same for every Influenster; there are lifestyle badges (for which one qualifies for) that determine the components of your package. Some of these badges are: (1) cosmopolitan, (2) beauty, (3) techie, (4) health nut, (5) outdoorsy, (6) VoxUni. The VoxUni program is best described on Twitter.

Recently I received my first VoxBox and most of the items, surprisingly enough, are worthy to part of the Made for a Collegiette column. I hope that these products catch your fancy; if you have experience with any of the products that will be described below, be sure to comment (especially if your experience did not match mine!). The features for the items that I will be sharing with you will be broken into multiple parts. Be sure to check out the other Made for a College {Holiday VoxBox} posts in order to see the rest of the items included in the box!

Okay, you know around midterms week and finals week that stress results in awkward pimples that we both thought we left behind in high school. How can you get rid of these in a jiff? My newest find is the XOut Wash-In Treatment, a powerful skin care product from the creators of Proactiv. I know. Proactiv. That alone gives legitimacy.

First off, the product smells like it works. No, I don’t mean this as a critique; there is simply an overpowering smell of face cleanser. From my experience, the product worked and I’d suggest that every collegiette™ adds this to their skin care regimine.

What I Love About the XOut Wash In  Treatment
Sensitivity: My skin is extremely sensitive and so I use discretion when choosing skin care products. Products in the past have led to slight discoloration. The XOut Wash-In Treatment is strong enough to fight acne but subtle enough to not result in skin irritation and things of that nature.
Multifunctionality: It can be used as a face wash or for spot treatment. I personally used it for spot treatment, but I do plan to use it was my primary face wash.

Try it out collegiettes™. Sure, XOut does not seem to have the celebrity backing of Proactiv (who is your favorite Proactive celebrity? Katy Perry? Jessica Simpson? Let me know in the comment box!) but it appears to be the Proactiv for a collegiette’s budget.
