Your Guide to Recent Target Brand Additions

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Portland chapter.

Okay, who doesn’t love Target? Seriously, I think I could live there. Recently, they’ve been phasing out some brands, rest in peace Mossimo, and adding new ones. Here’s your guide to help you remember the new brands.

1. A New Day

A New Day’s the latest women’s line. It features more versatile pieces that you’re meant to mix-and-match. From tops and coats to shoes and handbags, A New Day takes care of all your style needs. In the need of some style inspiration? Check out Target’s Pinterest board for this collection.

2. Project 62

The Target home décor section is one of my favorite parts of the store. Project 62 is the new home line with pieces to take your home décor from shabby to chic. Looking for more of their new products? Check out the Target website or #Project62 on social media to see how others are showing off their home décor style.

3. JoyLab

JoyLab’s a new active apparel line. According to an article on A Bullseye View, the Target corporate blog, it’s a street-fashion-inspired activewear brand.  They have some super cute sports bras and tops. I love myself some athleisure so I’ll definitely have to give this brand a try.

4. Goodfellow & Co

Goodfellow & Co is the latest men’s collection. It’s a “modern-meets-classic men’s brand.” Looking for a birthday present for your brother, dad, boyfriend or brother-in-law? Why not get them something to help them out in the fashion department! I don’t know about the guys in your life, but my brother could definitely use a wardrobe update.

5. Hearth & Hand with Magnolia

This line’s a collaboration with Chip & Joanna Gaines, the stars of HGTV’s hit show Fixer Upper. Chip and Joanna Gaines do it all. I’m still recovering from the news that their show’s ending, but at least now I can still have my dose of Gaines at my fav store.

Victoria is a senior marketing major with a sustainability minor at the University of Portland. In her free time, she loves browsing the aisles of Target, exploring Portland and drinking chocolate milk. When in doubt her outfits are almost entirely from Old Navy and you can normally find her in Kenna Hall where she is one of the Resident Assistants.
