Campus Celebrity Seniority: Emma Roddy and Nicole Yun

They’ve traveled abroad in Austria and England, are Lauren Conrad fanatics, and are so well-versed in Harry Potter trivia, they might as well be Luna Lovegood and Cho Chang. Who are these incredible Portland Pilot seniors? None other than your favorites – Emma Roddy and Nicole Yun!

 

Names: Emma Roddy and Nicole Yun

Majors: Business Marketing (Emma) and Nursing (Nicole)

Minors: Communication Studies (Emma) and Biology (Nicole)

Year: Senior, 2013

As seniors this year, what are you two looking forward to most?

Emma: Christmas break. Just kidding.

Nicole: I’m looking forward to spending the rest of the school year with all my good friends and creating more memories together.

 

Now, as Campus Celebrities, who are your favorite celebrities?

Emma: My bestie, Lauren Conrad. LC. She is an example of someone who’s worked really hard, and has come along way in life. And has great style.

Nicole: Jessica Alba. I love watching her movies – especially Honey – and I think she has a great sense of fashion. And is absolutely stunning.

 

You two have quite the lovely best-friendship. Describe how you met.

Nicole: We went to different high schools in Seattle, but knew of each other through mutial friends. When we found out we were all going to University of Portland together, we had a very awkward first lunch together.

Emma: It wasn’t awkward.

Nicole: It was awkward.

Emma: We had never met before. I only knew Nicole and Rosy (Boggs), so we were all attached at the hip.

How did you keep your friendship so strong through these four years?

Emma: We hung out everyday, studied together. Went out together. Then we all finally lived together, and studied abroad together. Junior year we lived together, and now senior year, we are excited for the future.

 

Who are your favorite instagrammers?

Nicole: Lauren Conrad.

Emma: Puppies instagram. And Lauren Conrad.

 

Most memorable tweet?

Emma: Condescending Wonka (@WonkaTweets): “How fucked up would it be if the last sentence of the last harry Potter book was “And then harry woke up back in his bed under the staircase?”

Nicole: Lorielle McCluskie (@lo_mccluskie): “find the center of your deepest joy and where it meets the worlds greatest need.”

 

You both have been known to be spotted sporting the latest trends on campus. How would you describe your style, and who are your fashion icons?

Nicole: My style incorporates fashions from other areas of the world. I love traveling – I have been to Europe, Asia, and New York. I like to keep up with the latest trends but also have to feel comfortable in my clothing. I shope everywhere! And my fashion icons are Lauren Conrad and Whiteney Port.
