3 Ways to Stay Productive Over Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Portland chapter.

Another semester at UP has come and gone (and we are so excited!). Go ahead and close those textbooks, but don’t check out just yet! You can still be productive over break and have some well-deserved fun, too! Check out these 3 tips to get you started.

1. Update your Linkedin Profile

Chances are, you’re Linkedin profile has gathered some dust over the past few months. Make the most of these next few weeks to update your experience, make connections and take a glamorous new headshot! Check out this comprehensive guide to building the perfect profile.

2. Volunteer

Nothing can beat the feeling you get from helping others, especially during the holiday season! Check out local volunteer hub websites, or national organizations that have local chapters in your area. Result? You’ll feel amazing and productive: something hours of mindless Netflix can’t give you.

3. Learn a new skill

There are so many opportunities available to continue learning outside of the classroom. At UP, all students have access to Lynda.com which allows you to learn a little bit about everything and anything. Ever wanted to learn about coding? Check. Photography? Check. Animation? Check.

Have a wonderful, relaxing and productive winter break!
