New Music Releases You NEED to Check Out!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Point Park chapter.

Not one, not two, but THREE new albums are being released tomorrow, October 27th. Our ears will be graced by new music from Kelly Clarkson, 10 Years, and Hollywood Undead. In anticipation of these albums dropping, here is a review of the lead singles from each album!

Love So Soft – Kelly Clarkson

One of our queens is back with yet another jam. Clarkson’s “Love So Soft” gives off an R&B vibe and is a little bit sexy, something that’s a deviation from what we usually see from the American Idol alum. This song is very different from classic favorites such as “Since You’ve Been Gone” or “My Life Would Suck Without You”, but we’re still absolutely in love. We cannot WAIT to hear this new style of  music on Clarkson’s forthcoming album Meaning of Life.

Novocaine – 10 Years

If your style is more metal rock, “Novocaine” is the track for you. Two years after their last album, 10 Years is back with a rocker off their upcoming album (how to live) As Ghosts. With their core writing team back together and lead singer Jesse Hasek’s voice in tip-top shape, 10 Years’s album is no doubt going to be a great one. If “Novocaine” is any indicator, this could be one of their best albums yet. Make sure to check it out!

California Dreaming – Hollywood Undead

Last, but definitely not least, is Hollywood Undead’s “California Dreaming”. If you’re anything like us, you may have thought to yourself “Wait, Hollywood Undead is still around?”. You bet they are, and they aren’t going to let you forget it (and you definitely shouldn’t). They’ve come out strong with “California Dreaming” as the lead single from their new album “V” (Five). Cycling between guttural rapping and quick quips and powered by heavy guitars, California Dreaming is sure to get you fired up.

If these singles are any hint as to what these new albums are going to be like, we are in for some prime music this Friday. Make sure you don’t miss out!
