The Mattress Factory Museum is a must see in the Northside of Pittsburgh; not only is it a quick bus ride away from campus but it’s also FREE for Point Park students!
The museum is ever changing! It is constantly getting new exhibits to check out, including this space-inspired piece that is currently being built.
Trace of Memory by Chiharu Shiota is a beautifully made exhibit that gave me the spooks… It plays around with the concept of memories and dreaming through webs of yarn stretched through 3 floors of a house. I kept imagining being stuck in a giant spider-web, Eeeeek!
One dot, two dot, three dot, infinity dot! This exhibit is the most well-known spot at the museum, made up of two full rooms of mirrors (the perfect place to take a #selfie, amiright?!) They also have some crazy mannequins doing some poses that were too funny not to impersonate!
