Local Favorites: Pizza Fiesta vs. R&B’s

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Point Park chapter.

At Point Park one of the biggest debates is between two local pizza places, Pizza Fiesta and R&B’s Pizza. As college students on a low budget we often look for food that is quick, cheap, and available whenever we want it. Both of these places offer that, but which is truly better? I did some research and asked our own HC staff their opinions based on availability, price, and general deliciousness! Here’s what I found:

First let’s start with availability. Both pizza places have free delivery and online ordering available, which is great for us students.  They’re also both open late, but Monday through Thursday R&B’s is open one hour later than Pizza Fiesta. It seems that R&B’s wins this round.

As for price, both places are pretty reasonable. R&B’s offers a college special of a large pizza and a large soda for $10, but Pizza Fiesta offers a large pizza, a liter of soda, and breadsticks for only $12! HC writers Lexie Mikula and Jake Owens both say Pizza Fiesta is better for the price, and I have to agree! Pizza Fiesta takes this round easily. Who doesn’t love breadsticks?

Last but certainly not least, taste! I myself love both places, but considering I find almost any pizza delicious I took this one to the HC staff! Haleigh Kopinski said “R&B’s all the way!” while nearly everyone else said Pizza Fiesta. Casey McGaw even went as far to say, “Pizza Fiesta is without a doubt a gift from the food gods”.

It seems pretty obvious that Pizza Fiesta is the favorite in our staff!
