October is 31 days of candy, frights and beautiful autumn weather. Each year we look forward to it’s arrival with horror movie marathons, visits to the pumpkin patch and shopping for a new sweater (or five). The only thing that can make October even better, is when you experience the month of Halloween in the city of Pittsburgh. Here are some spooky events happening this month in the ‘Burgh:

Terror Trolley: This scary tour of Pittsburgh starts at Station Square and carries riders through downtown, visiting locations with the darkest history in all of Pittsburgh. Zombie Fest: Zombie fanatics take note! Self described as the “world’s biggest halloween party,” anyone can join in on the undead fun for only $10 per zombie. This year’s Zombie Fest will take place on Saturday, October 17th from noon to 8 PM at Riverfront Park in Millvale. The event consists of vendors, food and live music! Owl-O-Ween: The National Aviary is celebrating October with the creepiest bird of all – Owls! This spin on their annual harvest festival is sure to be a great way to spend an Autumn Saturday. Hours are 11 am to 3 pm on October 17, 24 and 31! Visit their website for more information.

Lucifer’s Gallery – Halloween Art Show: Pittsburgh Tattoo on Smithfield street in downtown is hosting an all Halloween related art show!
