DIY Triple Strand Hamsa Bracelet

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Point Park chapter.

Hamsas are becoming a very popular motif in jewelry recently, but unfortunately, hamsa symbol jewelry can be very expensive. It’s very easy to make your own bracelet with items bought at a craft store, plus it looks like you blew a whole paycheck on it!

You will need:

  • A hamsa charm with loops on both sides (I purchased mine at Michael’s)
  • 12” of silver chain
  • 4 jump rings
  • Lobster claw clasp
  • Pliers
  • Wire cutters

1. Cut the chain into six 2” pieces with the wire cutters

2. Attach each set of three with a jump ring at the outside edges with pliers

3. On the left set, attach the three chains with a jump ring on the inside edge. On the right set, attach the three chains with a jump ring and a lobster claw clasp

4. Attach the right set of chains to the right side of the hamsa charm with a jump ring. Repeat on the left side

You’re finished! Show off your new, very expensive looking hamsa bracelet!
