With all the nightlife going on in Pittsburgh, the morning after is always painful. Usually, what I find helps the most is a filling brunch that won’t put a huge dent in my wallet. These are four of my favorite and most affordable brunch spots around Pittsburgh.

Pamela’s Diner

If Barack and Michelle Obama can make a stop at Pamela’s Diner in the Strip District, then you can too. Pamela’s Diner is the answer when you wake up hurting from the night before. The diner usually has a line out the door during the summer during the morning, so to avoid the large crowds it would be best to show up before 9 am or after noon. Whatever you order, you won’t be disappointed. The plates are huge and they load as much food as possible onto these plates without putting a dent in your wallet. It’s one of the coziest diners in Pittsburgh with a lovely staff that makes sure you feel at home.

Double Wide Grill is the brunch spot to hit up on a sunny summer day whether you are in a rush or in the mood to enjoy some mimosas while soaking up the sun. Since they are one of the few places in South Side that offer outdoor seating, you may have to wait 20 minutes for a table, but I promise it is well worth it. If you don’t want to leave your dog at home, they have a dog patio where you can bring your pup and enjoy a meal. They have a very personable staff that will leave you feeling satisfied and full every time.

Waffles INcaffeinated

This place will always be worth the wait. No matter what. The waffles are hands down the best in Pittsburgh and you can get. You can get waffles smothered in sausage gravy or berries, and they even offer you the chance to pick your own toppings and mix-ins. Not a waffle fan? No worries, they still have classic brunch options that will satisfy your cravings. You won’t have to worry about spending all your money here, the prices are average and it’s worth every penny.

Local Bar + Kitchen

1515 E Carson St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203

Local is a great place to get together with friends in the morning. The portion sizes will leave you satisfied and the bloody mary’s there are the best in the burgh. They have a bloody mary bar where they give you a mason jar with your vodka and the rest is up to you. They also have a gorgeous rooftop deck that is perfect for a summer morning with friends.
