The Best of E.L.F. Cosmetics

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Point Park chapter.

We all know that E.L.F. (Eyes, Lips, Face) have inexpensive versions of the makeup products everyone loves. But how do you know what the good stuff is without trip and error?

Well this is where I come in. I’ve tried all of these products and I’m here to share my favorite 10!

1. Essential Lip Stain $2

I have this one in “fuchsia fusion,” and I absolutely love it! It stays on all day long and the color is gorgeous.

2. Mineral Infused Face Primer $6

This primer really is a dupe for the Smash Box Color Corrector face primer. It smoothes your face before you apply foundation and it has helped my face makeup last longer throughout the day.

3. Precision Liquid Eyeliner $3

This is such a great liquid eyeliner. I’ll warn you though, it isn’t for beginner wing-wearers. But if you’ve got liquid liner down, you’ll love it .

 4. All Over Cover Stick $1

E.LF.’s concealers smell so good! But this one I use as a highlighter and not a concealer. The shine is perfect for a subtle cheek or nose highlight.

5. E.LF. Blush $3

I have this one in “berry merry,” and it is literally my go-to blush. It is subtle but still keeps my cheeks bright. I love it!

6. Individual False Lashes $1

I love false eyelashes and these are perfect for the ends of your eyes where you want the perfect amount of volume. Unfortunately the eyelash glue that comes with it isn’t that good.

7. Stipple Brush, $4 and Small Stipple Brush, $3

I LOVE THESE BRUSHES. E.L.F. has amazing brushes, but these are my favorite. The small stipple brush is great for cream highlighters, the regular stipple brush is great for light coverage foundation and they both blend super smoothly.

8. Flawless Finish Foundation, $6

Unfortunately, the foundation E.L.F. sells don’t smell as great as their concealers, but they do work just as well! This foundation is definitely a light coverage, and it reminds me of the Revlon Photo Ready Foundation, but better and cheaper!

9. Baked Bronzer, $3

I have this bronzer in “St. Lucia,” and I find it perfect for that sun-kissed look that everyone wants to achieve in winter.

10. Long-Wear Lip Liner Pencil, $1

I have this lip pencil in “bitter” and it goes so well with ALL of my red lipstick. It’s creamy and even works by just filling in your lips!
