5 Sunday Funday Routines

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Point Park chapter.

Sundays, as we all know, tend to be extremely boring. It’s either full of reruns of Awkward on MTV that we have already watched a million times or homework we don’t have the energy to do. So when you don’t want to resort to Netflix for the fourth hour, try these 5 fun routines to help yourself feel more satisfied with the beginning of the week around the corner!

Plucking, Waxing, and Everything In-Between

This step varies from person to person, but we all want to have strong brow game, so pluck (or wax) away all those little hairs! Next, pay attention to your mustache. Yes, we all have them. Some know this better than others, but getting rid of it is so simple! You can wax or apply facial hair remover (I recommend Sally Hanson).

Shaving (Pits and Slits!)

This is all about preference. Some people don’t like to shave as much as others, which is totally okay. However, to start the week off strong, pay attention to your body and what needs trimmed or shaved. Every crease could be shaved or trimmed, this is all up to you! The main point is to feel good about yourself.

Smooth as a Baby’s Bottom

Who doesn’t love the feeling of soft skin and smelling good? Fragranced lotion is totally up to you, some love Victoria’s Secret’s most recent smell and others love straight up Aveeno. I like to mix it up. Moisturizing is an awesome habit to get into for your skin.

Cat Claws (Eek!)

This step is self explanatory. Nails tell a lot about a person.. Sunday is a good time to look at your nails and trim, clip, and print. There’s no need to spend $45 for a manicure as a broke college student. Try some fun nail art or maybe somebody on your floor is really talented!

“Ohm….?”

Beauty isn’t just about the exterior. This sounds cliché, but beauty is within! Meditation allows a healthy state of mind which will flow into the rest of you! Meditation is a great way to reflect on the past week and the upcoming week. Meditation is a difficult thing to just do, so I recommend the app Breathe. It is a helpful tool with custom and timed sessions just for you!
